And it is time to gather the bounty of the spring and summer.

Spring and Summer brought new life to me!
There's a new kiln in a new studio in Chicago! The past months have turned my attention
to personal matters, including starting a new life in Chicago...

I look forward to gaining my footing in a new life in a new world. This winter, I will be
hibernating and manifesting the gifts of a totally unexpected change and blessing. I will
also be shopping for warm socks.
But I remain a hopeless lifelong learner, and
I have continued to work in the ancient medium of egg tempera, and I still plan to use this
art form in new ways.
This site update includes a few of my fledgling attempts made in workshops. Please view
them gently. I am approaching the work with a beginner's heart. I am learning 'icon
writing' in the ancient sacred tradition.
Celebration of all aspects of my creative work will be the continuing focus of this website.
 An online store is still planned. And when I finally launch it, I hope you find something you
can’t live without. In the meantime, you will find my dabblings.
Jumping Off at Photography
Nature informs all of my creative work, and I am especially charmed by the plants and
insects that live outside people’s usual focus. Lichen, mosses, and dead or decaying wood
often spur my paintings, ceramic sculptures, and fiber creations.
What Happens Next
My work is primarily inspired by Nature and the “in-between.” Everywhere I go, there are
portals, doorways, and thin places.
I glimpse faces, figures, or designs in natural objects and scribbles in stone or soil that
suggest art. It is a form of pareidolia.
The forms I create come through my hands from the ethers.
Ceramics, Paintings & Sculptural Works
My ceramic creations are often abstract representations of pods and grasses. Weeds and
trees. Vines and spirals. Or sometimes double-faced figures. And, always, portals.
My fiber pieces build themselves, shapes, colors, fibers, and stitches, revealing the whole
over time.

My World Slows Down
And it is time to gather the bounty of the spring and summer.

Spring and Summer brought new life to me!
There's a new kiln in a new studio in Chicago! The past months have turned my attention
to personal matters, including starting a new life in Chicago...
&
I look forward to gaining my footing in a new life in a new world. This winter, I will be
hibernating and manifesting the gifts of a totally unexpected change and blessing. I will
also be shopping for warm socks.
But I remain a hopeless lifelong learner, and
I have continued to work in the ancient medium of egg tempera, and I still plan to use this
art form in new ways.
This site update includes a few of my fledgling attempts made in workshops. Please view
them gently. I am approaching the work with a beginner's heart. I am learning 'icon
writing' in the ancient sacred tradition.
Celebration of all aspects of my creative work will be the continuing focus of this website.
 An online store is still planned. And when I finally launch it, I hope you find something you
can’t live without. In the meantime, you will find my dabblings.
Jumping Off at Photography
Nature informs all of my creative work, and I am especially charmed by the plants and
insects that live outside people’s usual focus. Lichen, mosses, and dead or decaying wood
often spur my paintings, ceramic sculptures, and fiber creations.
What Happens Next
My work is primarily inspired by Nature and the “in-between.” Everywhere I go, there are
portals, doorways, and thin places.
I glimpse faces, figures, or designs in natural objects and scribbles in stone or soil that
suggest art. It is a form of pareidolia.
The forms I create come through my hands from the ethers.
Ceramics, Paintings & Sculptural Works
My ceramic creations are often abstract representations of pods and grasses. Weeds and
trees. Vines and spirals. Or sometimes double-faced figures. And, always, portals.
My fiber pieces build themselves, shapes, colors, fibers, and stitches, revealing the whole
over time.
